I’m an independent Creative Director, helping brands define what they stand for and find the right way to express it.
Fifteen years ago, I started out in graphic design, studying at the University of Applied Arts Vienna while building identities for small businesses. Since then, I’ve lived and worked in Vienna, Barcelona, New York and Berlin, at agencies including Scholz & Friends, DDB/Bernbach, antoni and Heimat, for brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Hornbach and McDonald’s.
Along the way, I’ve been lucky to work with great teams. Together, we built brands on clear strategies. Made a documentary when the brief asked for a tennis court. Found nostalgia in futuristic technology. Designed packaging when all anyone wanted was a logo. Different outcomes, same task: strip a brief down to its essence and find the form it needs.
Sometimes that means returning to the brief with the client, reading the numbers and questioning what we think we know. Even flawless execution only gets you a 40% result if the thinking behind it stopped at 40%. Once the goal is clear, a lot falls into place: the idea, the format and the people it takes to make it happen.
My job is to keep the direction clear and create a space where people can share unfinished ideas, challenge each other and put their expertise to work. That’s how both the work and the team get better. Trust the process. And the people.
If you’d like to work together or simply say hello, I’d be glad to hear from you.
